“Don’t Just Play, Play Hard.”
Without time for self-care, you won’t be at your best.
People who work in the car industry lead intense lives at work.
Intense philosophies, schedules and organizational relationships are just a part of our day-to-day. We find inspiration in the small things – the joy of a college grad purchasing their first new vehicle to a recent widower getting just the right car payment and driving away in something brand new.
We value the simple and the complex, from the one-off buys to the long-term relationships. Unfortunately, despite all we accomplish in the day-to-day, we don’t always value ourselves.
Ask yourself this question: Do you take time to play? When you play, do you commit to intensity the same way you do at the dealership?
Don’t just play, play hard. Don’t just go on vacation or take a break for relaxation. Relax and play as intensely at home and on the beach – or even on the golf course – as you perform in the tower or on the lot. Because without time for self-care, you won’t be at your best in either place.
I would love to talk about ways that you can play as intensely as you work… and make work into play!
