Do something small today.
We usually hear it the other way around. We are told to do something big today.
Bill Gates said, “We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten.”
I think we do that in the car business as well, especially with our days. We overestimate what we can do in a week or a month and underestimate what we can do in a year.
What if you started your day by taking small but focused actions about a specific goal. Your days would begin to take care of themselves, and you would begin to accomplish far more than you could by simply looking at the big overall goal.
The smaller the step, the better. It will get done — and so will the next step, and the next step. Before you realize it, you have momentum. You can do anything with enough momentum. The challenge is to get the ball rolling in the right direction.
