The world will always conspire to make you less than you are.

The question is, do you let that happen?

Decide now.

Decide to be the person you want.

Put the hours in. Hugh MacLeod says, “Doing anything worthwhile takes forever. Ninety percent of what separates successful people and failed people is time, effort, and stamina.”

You are responsible for your own experience. Don’t follow the well-lit path, create your own. The safe path is always disappointing in the end. But the more compelling the path, the more fulfilling it becomes.

Get quick wins. Momentum fuels motivation. Be a starter. Start something. Create something. Do something.

Scratch your own itch. Jason Fried says, “Power is never given, power is taken.” Decide to take control of your own life.

While everyone is sitting around eating leftovers and talking about blah-blah-blah  why not get off the couch and get started on your own new journey towards the person you are becoming. You may want to start at the gym, or read a motivational book, or . . .

I’d love for you to share your thoughts. What are you starting?
