“Fail often, fail fast, fail cheap” is damn good advice, especially for driven and successful people like you. In fact it’s so good you should have it in front of you as a constant reminder. We are so conditioned to “live normal” and play things safe — not good in the real world! You will be left in the dust if you don’t shoot for the stars and make something remarkable.

One problem I’ve seen in the automotive marketing business and probably most businesses is that people get zapped for their failures. I try hard not to do this if the failure had logic and purpose. In my own life I have grown because I was not afraid of trying lots of things. Some worked and some didn’t, and that is an ongoing process, but I’m not afraid of trying.

Esther Dyson said, “Always make new mistakes.”

Our ability to succeed and thrive is in direct proportion to our ability to make mistakes and learn from them. It’s really not rocket science, but it’s easy to forget — myself included.

So what are you trying? What have you learned? What’s on your agenda that makes you squirm because it’s new or not been done before? We only get one life, this is it. The game is live. Are you living it or just managing to get by? Go for it! Let’s make something remarkable!

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Let’s work together on a winning marketing plan.
