Simon Sinek, author of Start with Why asks three questions:
Why are you doing it?
How are you doing it?
What are you doing?
The order in which those three questions are answered is important. If I say, “We create automotive direct mail advertising, this is is how we make it, and this is why we make it” I have bored you. You have tuned me out.
But if I answer the three questions starting with why
– to how – and finish with what, I have your attention.
